I'm a full-time writer, but I make most of my money from articles. I believe that to fulfill my dream of becoming a full-time author within 5 years, I must be prolific. I don't know if there's a best time to release a book. It's all up to my publisher anyway. I do believe that promotion is important. About the only release dates I would hate to have is Christmas and New Year's Day.
