Not Rain or Snow or Dark of Night

The weather played havoc with my blogging this week. Power outages meant no internet for long periods of time. A few extra trips to the store to resupply certain items and we won't even talk about my husband running over his phone after he dropped it into nine inches of snow. Ouch. Spring is only 41 days away.

But a lot of good things happened this week and I'm taking the time to mention my friends even as I'm so thankful it's Friday. Don't forget you can pick up CassaFire by Alex J. Cavanaugh on Amazon for only .99 for this week only. Great deal for a great book.

My friend, Misty Simon, has a new release, Making Room at the Inn, available for free for a limited time. Everyone likes a free read and Misty is so entertaining.

Also check out this great review I received for my latest fantasy, First Dragon. It's one of the books I'll be signing at the big Valentine's sale this weekend at Ashcombe's Farm and Greenhouse. I'll be there along with fourteen other authors hoping to convince some of those shoppers looking for a romantic gift for their loved ones. It's a big place and so much going on we're really hoping for a big crowd.
  1. Ashcombe's gift shop

Did the weather witch get you this past week? Do you think my husband's phone can recover from being run over? Did you pick up CassaFire or Making Room at the Inn yet? Do you shop for those special Kindle sales for .99 or free?

I do tend to be tempted to buy/ get those 99 cent or free books, but I find I hardly ever read them unless it was a book I'd sought out intentionally. And I've seen phones survive the strangest things- mine went through the wash (almost) unharmed.

Ouch! I feel for his phone.
Thanks for mentioning CassaFire's sale.
And good luck this weekend! No snow here, just really cold.

Yay, Misty! She'll be over at Ashcombe's with you guys. :) I'm hoping to be able to stop in.

We had power outages too, and part of a tree fell on our truck, but no real damage, thank goodness.

Nice review! Congratulations! :)

Stupid snow is sure around here too, no crushing phones with cars though at my zoo haha hope the signing goes well

I've never run over my phone - knock wood! - but I have dropped it in a lake. Even after being fished out, it didn't make it.

Hope the weather calms down some for you all!

We've had a lot of snow this year and winter isn't over. I'm so ready for spring! It's hard to think about planning out my container garden when I'm looking out the window at snow piles a couple of feet deep.

That phone might be a goner.

I love doing signings in gift shops like that.

The weather witch has been smothering us with cold and snow. I've read all of Alex's books and they're fantastic!

I'll cross my fingers for your husband's phone. Stranger things have happened, right?

The weather witch got us, too, and of course, it was on my busiest day—lots of errands and things to do with the kids. Ugh.

Congrats on your great review! Have a nice weekend.

The weather can be a nightmare. We've had flooding on and off this last week in Devon. Tonight the advice is to have sandbags down and weights on toilet seats, in case flood water backs up into the sewage system. Perfect!

I don't know how you survived without the internet! ;)
