A to Z Blogging Challenge: T

Can't believe we're nearing the end of the alphabet already in the 2013 A to Z Blogging Challenge. Find all the master list here. Are you ready to hear about another thing from my plans to be a better writing upon my retirement.

T: Thanks. Yes, I'm going to use my blog and other social media to thank people. There are so many. The first publisher who took a chance on me. My newest publisher and editor. Members of writing groups and my very first critique partner. The online friends who shout out my new book releases. The people who are loyal commenters on my blog. The family members who support my efforts and all my sisters who buy and read my books. The online community, like this one, that has given me advice and guidance.

But the little paragraph above isn't what I mean by giving thanks to and for this people. I'm going to name names. I'm going to publicly proclaim these people as kind and good and smart. I have lists that keep getting longer and longer. You could be on it.

Do you use your blog to thank people? Are there some people you should be thanking? Has someone surprised you by thanking you publicly when you weren't expecting it?

I use it to Thank my blogging buddies and as soon as I'm published, I'll use social media, rooftops, megaphones, and everything I can get my hands on to thank those persons, too.

I use it to thank the people in my life who help me get through each day, each challenge and celebrate the blessings with me.

Yes,

I thank my blogger pals daily for spending their precious time to visit me and when they are extra kind.

Yes, I have been thanked many times in the blogosphere which humbles me and makes me feel warm all over.

We are a kind and caring community and your vow to give thanks just proves my point.

I don't thank people nearly enough. This something I need to do more often as well.

I guess I should start by thanking you all for coming by today. I really appreciate it during the busy a to z time.

Sounds like a good plan, Susan. Writers will forever owe tons of thanks to their supporters.

I've done it, but not nearly as much as I should.

I've made so many great blogging buddies over the past few months and I'm grateful for them all.

This could be an interesting blog hop on it's own... :)

I've not done it as often as I should. EJ Wesley thanked me the other day on his blog because I'd featured him and few others as being very helpful. That was really nice of him to do that.

Thought provoking post! I have to admit I haven't thank people who have supported me in Workshops with MM nearly enough.

Thanks for the wakeup. MM

I am grateful for everyone that visits my blog. I try to thank people semi-regularly, but perhaps I should do it more. Gratitude is a cornerstone of success!

You are welcome. And yes, I let others know how grateful I am on a regular basis. It comes naturally for me. :)

I thank people in comments, and through those awards that float around. I also thank people more generally in some of my posts. I think it's important to thank people when they are saying such wonderful things.
