On Thursday of this week, my local chapter of CPRW is starting the second of our writing motivation 50/50 projects. The idea is to write at least 50 new words for fifty straight days. Of course, most people write many more than that. Just making yourself sit down at the document and typing a few sentences almost always leads to writing more. We time this second 50/50 to overlap with NaNo for those members who are diving into that craziness. Wish me luck.

Please hope over the Insecure Writers' Support Group. They've been having some terrific guest posts and have another one up today.

If Columbus had an advisory committee he would probably still be at the dock.  ~Arthur Goldberg

Hope you had work off for Columbus Day. If it's not raining, I'll be mowing and raking leaves. And Happy Thanksgiving Day to my Canadian friends. Hope you enjoy a feast today.

Poldark was good last week and a two hour premier special. My daughter and I have watched The Good Doctor together. Interesting so far. Hope the writers can keep it up. Inhumans isn't really catching my interest but I'll give it a few more episodes. Supernatural is back this week. About time.

Are you taking part in NaNo or have you ever? Did you get a long weekend for whichever holiday? Are you a fan of any of those shows I mentioned? Raking leaves yet? Need a good boxed set to read on a cool fall night?

Ooh, fifty words a day definitely seems like a good way to stay motivated without becoming too overwhelmed. Good luck!

That's a worthy cause.
I have the day off. But I have an appointment early this morning, so up anyway. I also hope to get some yard work done today.

No day off for me. And no, I've never done NaNo because I work pretty full-time. Glad you liked Poladark. I have these two episodes taped to watch. I think I'll try The Good Doctor too. Heard good things about it.

Prepping for NaNo 2017! Good luck with your 50/50 project!

Have a note of The Good Doctor - been hearing lots of good things about it.

50 words would surely lead to more. About time Supernatural came back indeed. Inhumans just looks soooo bad.

Oh! Now I have to go check out the Hero Dogs site. What a wonderful thing to do for veterans.

Ha, that sounds like a fun anthology. I keep expecting to need to start raking but it's almost eighty degrees out right now...

Glad to see you're still here!
No, no raking yet out here in St. Louis. Still mowing.

I've done NaNo twice, and I hope to get back to it maybe next year. This year, I'm just happy to be writing again.

I'm going to sign up for NaNoWriMo again...

We had our first real snow yesterday and a hard freeze last night. Fall returns in a day or so, but by then all the leaves will be gone from the ash tree and all my flowers and plants wilted. That's Colorado weather!

Hope you enjoyed Columbus Day, we kind of enjoyed Thanksgiving. Best of luck with your 50/50 especially if you are going to do Nano as well.

So glad to have stumbled in (with a tiny push from Ninja Alex). I was just asking on my blog for some good romance recs, as my Kindle is low. :-)

What a great idea. We went on an apple orchard tour and made cider at the press. Ended the trip with a caramel apple. Not a bad start to fall. :)

I am not ready to rake leaves yet, but there are a few on the ground. :P I haven't watched any new shows, but my husband and I did go out to $6 Tuesday movie night and see the new Kingsman movie - just as violent and inappropriate as the first and not quite as clever, but we still enjoyed parts of it. A boxed set of books sounds wonderfully tempting, but I'm waiting to read (I actually am holding onto three books) on a rainy day. Currently, it's a nice, sunny fall here.

That's a fantastic cause for the anthology and the premise sounds fun too. Good luck with 50/50!

I only caught that it was Columbus Day by the people being mad about it on Twitter. LOL
