What Does It Mean?

My friend, Chrys Fey, was doing some research and found my blog on this list of top Romance blogs. What does that mean? I don't know. But my blog is on some lists so I'm going to feel a little bit famous for a little while. Okay. the feeling is gone.

There were so many great trailers coming out of SDCC that I couldn't pick one to include. Wonder Woman, Justice League and so many others look so great! Go to Comic Con's home and look at everything!

I really wanted to go see Star Trek this weekend but I promised my daughter I'd wait and see it with her. That way she and I can fan-girl over Chris Pine together. Only two more weeks until she's home from Morocco.

I'm glad it's so hot out. Gives me reason to be outside since I love the heat and there is NOTHING of interest for me on TV. I'm currently re-watching the second season of Daredevil when I need some video entertainment. I'm taking in Killjoys on SyFy Friday nights but I'm not in love with it. Ripper Street is coming back to BBC America soon so I'll watch that. Good thing that I have dozens of books I want to read.

Besides getting back into a more vigorous exercise routine, I'm really watching my health in other ways. I'm trying to remember to take my B12 every day and my CoQ10 though I miss days on occasion. B12 has many benefits for your circulatory and nervous systems and may help you battle fatigue. Many people need to take a B12 supplement when they get older. CoQ10 does so many things I'll just link to the information. If you're over 40, your doctor may have advised you to take this vitamin-like supplement. You should now that you know what they mean.

If you're feeling a little achy after a workout, eat a salad. Lettuce contains 2-10 parts of morphine per billion. How much does that mean you would have to eat to help the pain?

Next week will see the start of August.  For a great post today, visit IWSG where Anne R. Allen

is our guest. And don't forget the question for August if you want to post about it. You don't have to but it might stimulate some discussions.
What was your first piece of writing as an aspiring author? Where is it now? Collecting dust or has it been published?

Any good shows to recommend for the summer? Did you see Star Trek yet? Do you take any health supplements that aren't prescribed? Did you see any Comic Con trailers that excited you for what's to come?

I posted three of the trailers today.
Caught an early show of Star Trek last Friday. Very fun movie.
Enjoy your fifteen minutes of blogging fame. I wonder if my blog is on the science fiction list?

There are a lot of good flicks at the theatres this summer. I'll have to make plans to catch a few. I'll check the vitamins out. My dog has dry skin and the doctor told me to give her fish oil pills. I did and there was such a dramatic improvement, it has made me a big believer in nutritional supplements.
Great news being a number one romance writer blogger. I'm going over there to applaud now. Cheers.

I'm working on getting healthier and losing weight - it's been slow but I'm making progress. :)

Just got Netflix so looking forward to some of the shows on there. We did watch The Peanuts movie the other night - a really nice, fun movie.

Daredevil season 2 was great indeed, well worth a re-watch. Congrats on the 15 mins haha some supplements sure do help.

I'm not a big advocate of supplements, but my husband is. Recently after a losing my equilibrium again, he suggested turmeric and CoQ10. Although I still have slight dizziness it's not as bad as before, so maybe that actually helped.

I'm only halfway through my first viewing of Daredevil. I'm so far behind, I'm ashamed. My summer show is Masterchef. Which is weird because I do not cook.

I did take some time off to go see Star Trek over the weekend. I, too, like to fan-girl over Chris Pine. And Simon Pegg, of course.

"Okay, The feeling is gone." Ha! It's a great thing that you're blog is on those lists and high up on them, too. It means your blog is popular. :)

Lettuce has a bit of morphine in it? Wow. Now that's something.

On the best romance blogs list - congrats!

We drink energy drinks that contain 4300% B-12, equivalent to 1/4 of a B-12 shot. I think we are good to go.

Don't think mine is on a list unless it's the general load of rubbish list LOL. I'm off to eat some lettuce.

Cheers to making it on that list!

And no no no, I work out so that I don't HAVE to eat lettuce. Gross. As for supplements, I do take some killer gummy vitamins, that have my complete daily dose of something in them. Also, they taste great. Yeah, I'm a child.

I'm watching Penny Dreadful on Netflix now. Good cinematography, stories familiar but entertaining. I need to stop eating so much sugar. I think a muzzle might help.

Well, you do make a lot of interesting posts. And does your daughter like the heat as much as you do? Because if she does, then no wonder she's at home there.

Hooray for being on such a list! It's once of those nice things that happens when you work hard, i believe.

Very kind of you to wait for your daughter to come home to see the movie.

Wow! Congrats for being on that list!
We're seeing Star Trek this Wednesday for my youngest daughter's birthday - my husband sacrificed his usual "on opening weekend for Star Trek" ritual for her since she pronounced that she likes Star Trek better than Star Wars.
I'm not sure I can recommend any shows. We've been enjoying both Killjoys and Dark Matter, although Dark Matter killed off one of the characters in the beginning of season 2 which has made us less than fan-happy.
Great facts on the salad after exercise!
Happy exercising and writing!

Congrats for making the top blog list :)

Glad you are able to get out and about and feeling like increasing the exercise :) I think we'll eventually see the new Star Trek movie; I know we have enjoyed the 2 previous ones. Despite my misgivings, I did decide to watch Zoo again this season and now that I've watched a few episodes, of course now I have to finish the season out :)

That's interesting about your blog being a top romance blog. Congrats.

I take Tumeric and have the blood work to prove it really does cut down on inflammation and achy joints. Other than that I take a B vitamin and D because in Michigan everyone is low on D because of snow.

Hi Susan - that top listing in the Romance section - great .. enjoy. More importantly enjoy your daughter being home and being able to get to the new Star Trek Beyond ... I might see it this week ... Interesting about turmeric .. cheers Hilary

Nice job getting on a list! I think those help traffic. Or that is the impression I get, having not been on one... erm... As for TV: Stranger Things on Netflix and Mr. Robot... Though if you didn't see season 1 of Mr. Robot you may need to wait--it only looks available for sale right now.

How fun to have your blog on a list! That's a good thing.

My summer watching schedule has included parts of the RNC and DNC conventions (watching all of them is too stressful), catching up on the Bloodline and Orange is the New Black series on Netflix, following Big Brother which is a crazy habit but I do it anyway, and grabbing a few movies on DVD. Next up is The Revenant.

J.L. Campbell said...

Nope, haven't seen Star Trek. Congrats on being at the top of the romance list! And sadly, I've been slacking off on the vitamins.

I am hoping to see the new Star Trek movie in the next week or so :)

Congrats on your newfound fame :)

Now I can say I (virtually) know someone famous :) And if you want something fun to watch, try Stranger Things.

Great post, Susan. I had no idea about lettuce. I love salad but I still get aches and pains so I'm obviously not eating enough. I have to have a B12 shot every year - can't say I feel any different :) Star Trek is on my list of things to see in the coming weeks.
Have a super week.

You talked me into it--I'm going to go make a salad!

Have you watched The Suits yet? There's maybe 6 seasons now, or 5. We love it. Frankie and Grace, or is it Grace and Frankie. I laughed hysterically. The 100 is back with season 2. I enjoyed the first one. There's also Wallander, Continuum. We don't have tv in Bucerias, so I watch old series on Netflix. I love salads! Smoothies, water, veggies. I eat so many green veggies, I'm turning green.

Darn, forgot to say congratulations about being on the list! That's very kewl.
