Today I'm posting over at the IWSG site if you'd like to stop in and visit. This post will close out my blogging for the year but I'll be around on Twitter and Facebook now and then.
2016 was a rough year for a lot of people. Within our family, we had ups and downs but through it all, we stuck together and supported each other. I trust that we'll be of one heart going into 2017. We're rich in all the right ways.

We had a bit of snow and ice at the end of last week but I'm trying to have a better outlook on winter this year. We'll see how long that lasts.
"Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart." Victor Hugo
I'll use my first post after Christmas to talk about this year's writing progress and my plans for the next year. Some good news and some not so much.
I do want to thank all my faithful readers of this blog and especially those who leave comments. You make me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. To all of you, I wish the very merriest of holidays with the warmth of family and friends around you. I pray for your good health and happiness. If I could gift it to the world, I would share with one and all, my contentment and joy as a mother, wife, sister and friend. Bless you all.

It's good when family stick together through good and bad times. My family have fallen by the wayside except for my son who resides in Spain.
You have been a great support to me throughout this year and I thank you Susan. Have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
Yvonne.
Merry Christmas. We can get through anything if we stick together.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday, Susan! I enjoy reading your posts and I look forward to more in the new year. :)
I love your last line about your contentment and joy about being a wife, mother, sister, and friend. That is neat to be able to say that and mean it :) Merry Christmas!
betty
Merry Christmas, Susan!
We were in the 30's on Saturday, 70's yesterday, and back to 30's today. How weird is that?
Ugg, don't think I'll change my mind on snow lol hope a great Christmas is had at your pad. Very true on the first quote indeed.
Merry Christmas, sweetie!
I hope 2017 brings good news all around.
We both hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas! And the snow and the ice doesn't bother me so much as this -10 degree weather we've been having. Like, even breathing in the outdoor air hurts, and we can only step outside for about 1 minute at a time before something goes numb, freezes, and breaks off. This morning I went to dust the snow off my car and the car just shattered like glass. So, you know, it could always be worse.
The bar has been set pretty low for 2017. Anyway, I hope you and your family all have a good holiday. Be sure to have lots of fun!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Susan. Who knows what 2017 will bring? I'm longing for the world to re-centre on its axis, but it's looking like a futile dream.:-(
Happy Holidays, Susan! 2016 was definitely a tough year, but I'm glad to hear that you and your family were able to rely on each other for support...
I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Susan!
Hope you have a blessed and beautiful Christmas and New Year!
On the personal front, 2016 has been a good year, but collectively speaking, this year has brought some nasty surprises.
But I stay optimistic, and I hope, even though I don't really put much stock into it at the moment, I hope that it will all be all right. That is the one thing that keeps us going on, right?
Thanks for making my visits so enjoyable and so often informative. Have a lovely Christmas and I'll see you in 2017.
Looking forward to seeing your game plan for 2017. (Maybe it will help me jump start making my own.) Have a very Merry Christmas. See you next year.
I'm not a big winter person, either. It has its beauties, but mostly it's cold. I hope you had a Merry Christmas!
