A to Z Blogging Challenge: G

Here we are already kicking off the second week of the 2013 A to Z Blogging Challenge. Hope we're all still having fun. Find nearly 1700 bloggers with a little bit to say everyday in April.

G: In keeping with my theme of things I intend to expand on or improve on doing in my soon to be full time writing career, I thought of lots of words fitting this letter. I'm going to stick with two.

Goodreads is going to get more of my attention very soon. I'm going to keep all my lists updated and do more reviews. I also going to do some promotions of my own. I'm much rather spend my time there then on Facebook.

The other thing I'm going to figure out in how to better use Google+. I'm not even going to ask for advice on this yet but I will  be. I know many of you are already use G+ but I'm only thrashing around like a tired swimmer on there.

Are you active on Goodreads? Are you a member of Google+? How many blogs used 'goals' as their G word today? I was trying to be different.

I'm like you- I have a goodreads account that gets little to no attention. That needs to change.

I joined Goodreads this past January and I'm enjoying it, even though I know I'm probably not utilizing all the cool stuff on there. :)

(If you want to find me/friend me on Goodreads, check out my blog's sidebar for the link.) :)

Goodreads I use to keep track of what I want to read and I get some good reviews of it.
I am new to Google+,kind of still getting my feet wet on that one. Good Luck and if you figure it out, definitely write a post, I love reading tips, those are always helpful.

I'm with you on both of these. I especially want to get better on using Goodreads. So far, Google+ is a total mystery to me and I can't really see any point to it, but I've heard good things about it so I want to give it another try.

Good luck!

I'm on G+ which is relatively simple, and I'm also on Goodreads, Susan, but I have yet to figure it out. My book "The Fires of Waterland" is on Goodreads. Glad to meet you! ":)

Active on both although I do more at Goodreads.

I've been a member for a couple of year now, but still don't "get" it. I'll have to give it some more attention as a social media site instead of just a place to catalogue my reading.

I use Goodreads, but only for my personal tallying of books read. Helps me keep a list, otherwise I just forget! I use Google+ but not very effectively. So much to use, so little time.

I love my Good Reads account. I'm never with out the next book.
I used Gaudy as my G word. Goals would have been a really good word though.

Oh, I feel better. I, too, have an unused Goodreads account and I have no idea how I'm supposed to use Google+ effectively. Perhaps, as you figure it our, you'll share some info with the clueless masses.

Thanks for stopping by my G is for Giddy post. Learning is my hobby so I will no doubt enjoy it!

I have a goodreads account, but am not a frequent user. The same goes for Google+. G is for Good Luck mastering those two social media tools!

Hello, Susan! I don't use Google+ but I am on Goodreads. I love that site! I've discovered many good books from there, and I really enjoy the author interviews in the Goodreads newsletter each week.

I use both! Unfortunately, I haven't used Goodreads very effectively yet, but I do love it. I use G+ quite a bit, which surprises me. I never thought I would get anywhere with it, but I have.

I'm on goodreads but never over there- I must learn to update more, especially as I'm on there as an author!
I have an aversion to G+ which I really must learn to get over...

I recently joined Goodreads and Google+; the former for a library project and the second because Google forced me to when I created a new account.

I'll be sure to share anything I figure out on better ways to use both. I just need some time and a faster computer. Or a faster brain.

I'm on both, but I'm horrible at being active. Twitter is my social media of choice.

Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to seeing what you learn about both.

I'll confess, my Day G is for Goals. I hope I put a different spin on it by using The Wizard of Oz. Not so sure, as I'm a blog newbie.

I really like Goodreads and I'd love to have more time to be active on there. Facebook hasn't done much for me and Google+ even less.

I use GoodReads and I like it because there are a lot of people on there and it's a great way to keep track of my TBR pile. I am with you about G+ though... I don't really use it that often, but I think it could be useful. I'll have to give it another try.

Goodreads is a great site, hopefully it won't change much w/ the new owners.

I've just recently discovered Goodreads so I don't even know why everyone was so upset by the amazon takeover. Google+ is something I am no pro at, although when it comes to technology, I feel like I'm a beginner at almost everything no matter how long I've been at it. Best of luck with your writing endeavours.

Have fun with a-z.

I'm just glad to hear that there is someone here in blogdom that is not super tech savvy...

I use Goodreads a lot. It's been a great place to look for reviews, advertise free promotions, and meet people through the different groups. There are so many it's overwhelming, but I'm slowly finding my feet.

Google+ on the other hand...

I'm floundering too. Groups look good, or communities as they're called. Other than that, I mostly just post links to my blog posts as I've heard it improves SEO.
