A to Z Blogging Challenge: Q

Don't forget to visit more posts in the 2013 A to Z Blogging Challenge as we near the end of the third week of blogging frenzy. Read on to learn one more way I'm going to strive for more success in my writing career as I make it my full time job starting in June.

Q: Question. I have some basic computer skills but I'm far from computer literate. There are so many things I don't know how to do. I won't go into a long list here, because I know some of you experts out there will know and put your answer in the comment. In the hustle and bustle of A to Z, I might not write it down or have the time to try it. Starting in June, I'm going to use my friends to add a little know-how to my blogs.

Online friends have helped me in the past with things such as ways to improve my blog and make it more readable. Another friend helped me when I self-pubbed one of my books. There's more to the list but what I've learned in the past is that this is a community where someone will know the answer to just about any question you have about writing, promotion and publishing. I'm going to be asking more questions on how to do all those things I have no clue about.

What questions have online friends helped you answer? Have you offered any advice or expertise lately?

Wither you know it or not, you are already passing on your wisdom to us.

Advice, yes. I wouldn't go so far as to call it expertise though.

i can barely drag the computer info out of my very knowledgeable sons---they say, mom we don't have time for this haha and they really don't, because i do take a longer time than most to catch on!--fortunately robyn and frank are fast learners --so i get by :)

When my mom first bought a computer, she called me everyday with some sort of question or another.

My main bit of advice was "When in doubt, right click!"

It always worked for me :)

This community is very helpful for sure. WIth me ... in the beginning ... it was all about grammar, punctuation, and basic writing skills... EEEK... It had been decades since I had learned the fundamentals of writing... I am STILL learning, but I have improved ten fold, thanks to certain, very patient, blogger/writer/friends.

Yes, in turn, I have helped anyone who has asked. I believe in our community and it certainly is a give a take haven...

I've received a ton of help from my blogger buddies! This list is endless.
Computer questions? As long as it's not a MAC, fire away.

I get so much advice from my blog friends and online friends without even really asking!

I married a computer nerd so I rarely have to worry about computer questions. lol
One of the things I adore about the writing community online is how easy it is to find someone with the answer you need. I recently did an interview and when they asked about advice, I told them never to be afraid to ask because you'll find someone who has the answer.

There is always something new to learn.

I should do the same; there's so much I'd like to know, and with such a large community all I have to do is ask!

I'm a web developer and software and computer engineer, so I'm constantly answering questions about computers, web sites, code, and other things of that nature. :)
